Weekend Basics

I love dressing easy and comfortably during the weekends.  I like to choose pieces that go easily together and can be dressed up or down fairly quickly because I rarely plan my weekend activities ahead of time.  This bag is one of my favorites this season.  It holds everything I need  with ample space and the navy stripes set the tone for summer with a nautical feel.

Wedges are also great for the weekend and I can’t get enough of these Jeffrey Campbell ones!  They look good even with my chipped toe nail, hehe and also provide me a few extra inches without the extra pain that usually accompanies heels.

After searching far and wide for a summer sweater I settled upon this basic black linen one from T. Babaton.  I love the lightness that comes with the linen, a perfect summer fabric.  And of course, bloomer shorts are just so precious that I had to add another pair to the collection!  I am looking forward to a nice, relaxing and fun filled weekend!

Lady Like

I love the soft lines and feminine details of this outfit.  This is what I would put together for an afternoon strolling through museums or a romantic Sunday brunch.  I like to mix up different textures (in this case…suede, lace, silk and leather) when wearing monochromatic or neutral colors.  I think it brings attention to small details and makes an otherwise plain outfit well…spectacular.

Originally, the photos above are what I had in mind for the outfit but on this particular day, I decided to dress it down a little bit for a laid back day of shopping with my sister.  I also wore my favorite Chambray shirt as a light jacket over this outfit but took it off for the pictures because it was getting quite warm out!  A big surprise around here.

Marquis

This weekend I am looking forward to getting away and spending time with my family up north.  We are heading to Vancouver, BC tomorrow and I am definitely taking my Marquis jacket with me. Ever since I’ve laid eyes on it, I have wanted it and when I slipped it on I knew, we were meant to be!  I love feminine details to the military jacket, makes it super luxe and light.  Perfect for spring.

Lust List-Aritzia Spring/Summer 2011

Currently lusting after pretty much everything from the Aritzia Spring/Summer 2011 runway show.  Here is a look at some of my favorites…

The WILFRED Dauphine jacket and Cannes shorts are for sure on my to buy list.

WILFRED Alexa dress…too cute!

TALULA Exeter blazer and Windsor shirt are perfectly preppy while the CITIZENS of HUMANITY Boogie denim shorts add the perfect touch of cool.

I love everything about this look for a fun day or night out.  TALULA Drew tank and Gina skirt.

I think I’ve found my answer to spring showers in this T. BABATON Graydon trench coat.  I also love the softness and movement of the T. BABATON Taylor skirt.

 

Enough drooling over these lust worthy threads…it’s time to shop!
