Dusty Booties

31 Mar

It may not look like it right now but the weather in Seattle was pretty gorgeous last week.  I dragged my sister out to the park with me for a mini photo shoot.  My favorite thing about this outfit…my dusty booties, the dustier they get the more I love them!

I get a lot of compliments on my Marc by Marc Jacobs Percy cross body bag.  I love the stone color, goes with everything!

Futuristic

30 Mar

I love Katy Perry and I currently have her new single E.T. stuck in my head…so of course I look up some fashion pics to go along with this soundtrack in my head.  I imagine this song playing as the models are walking down the runway.  I love the futuristic looks and structure with this spring’s natural color palette…married so well!  Presenting Herve Leger Spring 2011!

Cheese alert, but I’m going to say it anyway, the collection is OUT OF THIS WORLD!  Extra Terrestrial.

Happy Hump Day!

Anna

Spring Hill

29 Mar

I made reservations for Spring Hill restaurant at the end of September last year.  The wait for their Monday night Chicken Dinner was 6 months out!  Normally I would think this was absurd and forget about it but I LOVE fried chicken and this is supposedly the BEST fried chicken in the U.S., so I put our name down and the wait was finally over last night!!

Chicken dinner for four.  Comes with 2 whole fried chickens, spaetzle, mashed potatoes, cucumber salad, roasted brussel sprouts and jalapeno cornbread.

My thoughts on the dinner over all is mixed.  I think the chicken is highly overrated.  Like I said before, I am a huge fan of fried chicken but this did not hit the spot for me.  I felt that the skin had a funny texture and it was too bland for my taste.  The side dishes I thought, were the best parts of the whole dinner.  The cornbread was delicious and the brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly.  I might go back to Spring Hill again, not for the chicken dinner but for the spaghetti and meatballs!  The person sitting at a table close to ours had ordered it and it looked YUMMY!  Hopefully it tastes just as good as it looks.  For now, my favorite fried chicken is still Church’s!  What is your favorite fried chicken joint?

Marquis

25 Mar

This weekend I am looking forward to getting away and spending time with my family up north.  We are heading to Vancouver, BC tomorrow and I am definitely taking my Marquis jacket with me. Ever since I’ve laid eyes on it, I have wanted it and when I slipped it on I knew, we were meant to be!  I love feminine details to the military jacket, makes it super luxe and light.  Perfect for spring.
