This pretty blush top makes it very easy to go from a  relaxed classy look to something a little more edgy with just a change of bottoms and accessories.  For a nice dinner date look, I paired it with some silk slacks and a classic strand of pearls.  To take the look to something more daring for cocktails and dancing, I switched out the pants for some leather leggings and replaced the pearls with feather earrings for a little bit of rock and roll.  Now that I have the outfits, I just need to make the plans!  Looking forward to the weekend already…

2011 Oscar’s Dresses

The carpet wasn’t the only thing that was red at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards this year.  Red was the color du jour!  Although these ladies rocked the red dresses and the carpet, my favorites were the pastel gowns and a very elegant Camila Alves in a black gown.

Transition to Fall…

On a daily basis my clothing choices are based on two things, my mood and the weather.  On this particular day I was going to visit some friends and meet their new baby so I wanted to pick something cutesy, the weather on the other hand, not so cute.  I could smell the air turning from summer to fall and in Seattle that could mean gray skies and drizzles of rain or sunny and warm the next minute.

I decided to go with this Miu-Miu inspired print blouse that has been one of my favorite items this past summer.  I loooove Miu-Miu prints and luckily this is close enough to the prints without the pricey tag.  Jeggings and my nude colored Mackage leather jacket were perfect for the coolness in the air.  And of course, Chanel’s sophistication completes any outfit!
